HookTitles (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates hooktitles.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service. By using HookTitles, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use Supabase for authentication — passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. If you sign in via magic link, only your email is required.

Usage data: We collect data about how you use the Service, including the keywords and topics you submit for generation, the outputs generated, your credit usage, and which tools you use. This data is stored in our Supabase database and used to power your generation history and account dashboard.

Payment information: We do not store your payment card details. All payments are processed by Paddle, a third-party payment processor. We receive transaction metadata from Paddle (such as plan type and payment status) to update your account credits and subscription status.

Device and log data: We may collect standard log data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring and service improvement.

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the HookTitles Service
• Process your generation requests via our AI partners (Anthropic and Hugging Face)
• Manage your account, credits, and subscription
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• Respond to support requests
• Improve and develop the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your content submissions to train AI models.

HookTitles uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your theme preference (light/dark), and ensure the Service functions correctly. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Supabase Auth uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. You can clear cookies at any time via your browser settings, though this will log you out of the Service.

HookTitles integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your email and generation data are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.
• Anthropic — AI text generation (titles and descriptions). Prompts and responses are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing.
• Hugging Face — AI image generation (thumbnails). Prompts are transmitted to Hugging Face's API for processing.
• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management. Card details are handled exclusively by Paddle and never transmitted to our servers.

We retain your account data and generation history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance (e.g., financial records related to Paddle transactions).

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law including: the right to access your personal data, the right to correct inaccurate data, the right to erasure, the right to data portability, and the right to object to certain processing.
